向日葵助學計劃 Sunflower Scholarship Program

Sunflowers are seen as a symbol of hope, vitality, and happiness. The image of sunflowers always facing the sun perfectly metaphorically represents these children—despite potentially difficult growing environments (the shadow of their family backgrounds), they possess a phototropism and are willing to strive for the sunlight for their future and their studies.

Accompanying children as they walk towards the light

For many years, Herald China Children's Home has accompanied children's growth in China. The Mianyang Children's Home has served 147 children over the past sixteen years, 37 of whom have gone on to university; the Xianyang Children's Home has served nearly 200 children since 2014, with 40 of them going on to university. Currently, 55 children live at the Xianyang Children's Home.

The children have come this far not only through hard work, but also through the continued support of others on their educational journey. For some of them who have been admitted to university but face the pressure of tuition and living expenses due to financial difficulties, stable support may be the strength to continue their studies.

Therefore, we launched the Sunflower Scholars Program to provide financial assistance to eligible students and support them until they complete their studies. Your support is a companion: allowing children to not have to bear the burden alone on their journey, giving them the strength to continue moving towards the light.

We sincerely invite you to support the "Sunflower Project" and become a companion on your child's educational journey, helping students to face the future with greater peace of mind.

Sponsor each student US$100 per month / US$1,200 per year

We will provide students with regular academic reports. You can communicate with them, leave messages in the Sunflower Chat Room, or participate in the Summer Trip to Love (TOL) to connect with the children.
